Hey Everyone!
So lately some friends and I decided we want to go to Kenya on a mission trip. It has been a few weeks of praying, planning, and now fundraising! I'm so excited for this trip.
Going on missions has always been on my heart and now is the chance for it to finally happen. There are currently four of us going in our little group and it's going to be amazing. We will be staying at a children's home for about three weeks playing and hanging out with kids. During that time we will visit one of the largest slums in Kenya and a government-run children's home.
I want to go on this trip because I want to experience a different lifestyle and see how other people live. However, I mostly want to go because I know it will change my life and the life of the kids there. I want to build a relationship with the kids there and I want to know them. I don't want to be just another person who comes in, sees the kids, plays with them, then leaves. No. I am going to be a big sister, a loving friend and a follower of Christ.
Right now we are in the fundraising stage. It won't be easy, but if God wants be to go, the money will come. The trip is going to cost about $3500. Wish me luck!
